Neymar top list of Highest-paid footballers: Cristiano out, Messi in top 3

Salary Sport (h/t The Independent) have revealed the names of 10 biggest earners in football.

The rankings are based on weekly wages. The highest wage rate is an eye-watering £859,000 per week and Neymar is the lucky one to be getting it at PSG.

The Brazilian's teammates, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Kylian Mbappe, also feature in the list at £500k, £406k and £403k respectively.

Messi earns £64k less than second-placed Gareth Bale who currently enjoys a loan spell at Tottenham.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is the only Premier League player on the list.

9. David de Gea (Manchester United) - £350,000 per week

8. Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona, on loan at Atletico Madrid) - £356,000 per week

7. Kylian Mbappe (PSG) - £403,000 per week

5 and 6. Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona) and Sergio Ramos (PSG) - £406,000 per week

4. Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) - £407,000 per week

3. Lionel Messi (PSG) - £500,000 per week
