Rating the most influential 11 players in the Man United squad right now

The transfer window is closed and Manchester United won't be able to make additions to the team until January 2022.

We have selected the 11 most influential players at Old Trafford from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's 32-man squad as the season gets underway.

1. Bruno Fernandes
Come hell or high water, Bruno Fernandes will remain the most important player at Old Trafford this season. The midfielder appears to be back to his best after a mediocre Euro 2020 summer campaign with Portugal.

2. Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba might have less than 12 months remaining on his contract but the Frenchman is not letting that influence his game, providing five assists in three opening games of the new Premier League campaign.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to actually meet his new Old Trafford teammates but the 36-year-old's aura is already spreading at the club. We fully expect Ronaldo to walk in and establish himself as a leader both on and off the pitch at Man United.

4. Harry Maguire
Harry Maguire is out of the media spotlight and it's doing the Old Trafford skipper a massive favour. The English defender remains a rock at the back and a threat in the air, while his leadership qualities appears to be constantly improving.

5. Mason Greenwood
The signing of Ronaldo has threatened Mason Greenwood's chance to establish himself as Man United's go-to no.9. However, the Englishman's three goals in three games showcase that he won't give up easily and is ready for a fight.

6. Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw has picked up where he left off last season, putting in great displays at left-back for Man United. As long as the 26-year-old stays injury-free, he will only keep improving as the Red Devils aim to challenge for silverware.

7. Scott McTominay
Scott McTominay might not be the best central midfielder in Man United's history but the Scot's workrate and determination are second to none. Expect the 24-year-old to return to the starting XI once he recovers from a groin injury.

8. David De Gea
David De Gea appears to be back to his best, seizing the chance to re-establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper. As it stands right now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no reason to drop the Spaniard for Dean Henderson.

9. Raphael Varane
Raphael Varane has played just once for Man United so far but the Frenchman was already spotted giving out instructions to his teammates. Signing a defender of the Frenchman's profile could prove to be a brilliant piece of business.

10. Jadon Sancho
While Jadon Sancho is yet to start firing for the Red Devils, such high-calibre signing will surely have a massive impact at the club. Expect the Englishman to establish himself as a key player at Old Trafford in the coming months.

11. Edinson Cavani
Edinson Cavani is unlikely to play a lot of games this season but the Uruguayan's wealth of experience makes him an important member of the squad. The likes of Greenwood and Marcus Rashford have a lot to learn from the 34-year-old.
