After Leicester's defeat, Ronaldo 'tried to storm down the tunnel.'

Following Manchester United's defeat at Leicester, Cristiano Ronaldo was stopped from storming off the field.

After United's Premier League title hopes were shattered again again, the 36-year-old was a forlorn figure.

The Red Devils were thrashed 4-2 by the Foxes, dropping to seventh place, five points behind champions Chelsea.

According to accounts, Ronaldo was enraged by the full-time whistle and returned to the dressing room immediately.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, intervened, pointing to the away supporters.

Ronaldo is said to have turned around and congratulated them on the back for completing the 100-mile excursion.

United's defeat ended a Premier League-record streak of 29 consecutive wins on the road.

It was the first time they'd lost away from Old Trafford since January 2020.

Ronaldo has been vocal about his dissatisfaction this season, and he was unhappy after the Everton match.

He was muttering under his breath in Portuguese at the finish, according to talkSPORT commentator Andros Towsend.

It came after a drab 1-1 draw in which the ex-Real Madrid midfielder started as a substitute.

United fans were divided regarding his previous performances after his latest outburst of rage.

"Can't blame him?" one fan commented. For the second game, he was the poorest player on the field.”

"He had two wonderful opportunities to score and he fluffed them both," another added.

"Either you didn't watch the game or your inner fanboy refuses to admit it."
