BREAKING: Chelsea reclaim top spot in the Premier League after a narrow victory over Brentford.

Chelsea beat Brentford 1-0 in a tight West London derby to reclaim top spot in the Premier League. Ben Chilwell scored on the stroke of halftime.

Brentford will feel unlucky to only get a point after Bryan Mbeumo hit the post in both halves.

The goal occurred when Pontus Jansson cleared N'Golo Kante's cross to the edge of the area, where the England left defender scored on the volley for his third goal in as many games, while being under siege from Romelu Lukaku.

In the final ten minutes, the Bees poured on the pressure, and Eduoard Mendy had to make spectacular point-blank stops from Saman Ghoddas and Jansson to preserve the Blues ahead.
