Brentford vs. Chelsea: Frank selects world's finest defender

Chelsea's Andreas Christensen, according to Brentford manager Thomas Frank, is one of the best defenders in the world.

Frank made the statement ahead of Brentford's Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.

Since Thomas Tuchel's hiring as Frank Lampard's successor in January, Christensen has been a revelation for Chelsea.

In recent months, the 25-year-old has established himself as one of Chelsea's main defenders.

The Danish international has started five of Chelsea's seven Premier League games this season, as well as both of their Champions League matches.

"He [Christensen] is currently one of the top defenders in the world," Frank told the Danish publication Bold.

On the field, he has always been quite intelligent, which means he is very quick to foresee all offensive and defensive situations.

"In terms of carrying the ball forward, passing, and making excellent decisions, he is a highly talented defender."

"He's also foresighted and quick at the same time, so he's pretty much the whole deal."
