It's not time for Billy Gilmour to come back to Chelsea: Tuchel

Billy Gilmour was one of those Chelsea players that did well on their previous coach Frank with Mount and Abraham but went on loan this season due to lack of game time.

"I love Billy. He decided to go to have a better chance to get some minutes," Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference.

"We want him to perform. If you decide to go on loan, it's as simple as that - you need to be on the pitch, perform, be a top player, if you want to make it here.

"He's our player. we love him, but changing a club is a huge risk, huge step. Now's not the time to speak about coming back.

"He just needs to show what he can do. No coach will leave the best players out, that's what he needs to prove. That Norwich is a better team with him."

Things haven't quite gone according to plan for Gilmour just yet, having made just 4 Premier League appearances this season despite impressing in moments.

He has the quality to break through but the young Scot will have to do it soon if he wishes to come back to Chelsea and break into the first team.
