Juventus president Agnelli: 'I don't want to give up on the Super League'

Speaking at a Juventus shareholder’s meeting, Juventus president Andrea Agnelli said: “The Super League, the consequences on ECA and UEFA, and the roles held for Real Madrid, Barcelona - today we are waiting for a ruling by the European Court of Justice.

“It was the admission from 12 clubs that football is refusing change to maintain a political class that does not risk, does not compete and wants to cash in only.

“I do not want to give up, and I did not do it yesterday, I will not do it tomorrow. The system needs a change and Juve wants to be part of it. But only through constructive dialogue, for everyone.”

After being discarded a few months ago, the Super League is being pushed to become a reality soon.

The organizers and clubs still involved want to change the structure, adding a promotion-relegation system and removing the guarantee for only ‘top clubs’ to be involved in it.
