Sergio Aguero compares Messi and Ronaldo, the two Ballon d'Or winners.

Sergio Aguero, a Barcelona striker, has drawn parallels between Lionel Messi of PSG and Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United.

The main difference between Ronaldo and Messi, according to Aguero, is that the Portuguese skipper is much more of a striker than his Argentine opponent. 

Ronaldo can score a lot of goals if he is confidence up front, according to the former Manchester City player. 

Sergio Aguero told Spanish newspaper El Pais: "He [Cristiano Ronaldo] is more forward than Leo [Messi]."

And, like every other goal scorer, when he's confident, he scores goals, goals, goals." 

"Many times I wondered what I was missing," he continued. And then I asked Leo one day. He told me that he needed to win the Champions League in order to win the Golden Ball. And he is correct. 

I had tremendous seasons, scored a lot of goals, and won a lot of championships, but I never made it to the Champions League final. And, specifically, when we reached the final last year, I had a knee problem, covid, and several injuries." 

Messi has six Ballon d'Or victories against Ronaldo's five.
