Tuchel: I'm not interested in the five Chelsea players nominated for the Ballon D'Or in 2021.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has sacked five of his players who were nominated for the Ballon D'Or this year.

Cesar Azpilicueta, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mason Mount, and Romelu Lukaku were all on the 30-man shortlist.

Tuchel stated that while he is "very thrilled" for them, he does not care for individual honors.

Tuchel was asked about his players being nominated for the Ballon d'Or ahead of their Premier League match against Brentford on Saturday.

Do you believe me when I say that I have no idea who is on the list?

"I'm not a big fan of individual accolades. This, I believe, is a collaborative effort. For these individuals on the list, I believe what we did last season was a team effort.

We were more than just individuals; we were a collective, practically a family. It had the appearance of it.

Tuchel stated, "We were a strong club and the boys were a strong squad in every single game."
