Sevilla vs Lille Preview, Betting tips and Live Streaming 2021

Sevilla vs Lille preview ahead of this Champions League clash in Seville on Tuesday night. The hosts are worthy favourites to win with Lille’s struggles continuing.

Team News
Sevilla right-back Gonzalo Montiel came off just before the hour mark against Osasuna with calf discomfort, while Thomas Delaney was another casualty of that 2-0 win with a similar muscular problem.

Lopetegui is hopeful that the duo have avoided anything serious, but Jesus Navas and Fernando are on standby, with Papu Gomez and Karim Rekik both unlikely to feature as well.

Star striker Youssef En-Nesyri was fit enough to come off the bench at the weekend and could now force his way back into the first XI, but it would be a shock to see him complete the full 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Lille defender Sven Botman (groin) has been ruled out until after the next international break by Gourvennec, while goalkeeper Leo Jardim is also sidelined with a neck problem.

On a brighter note, Les Dogues did not pick up any fresh concerns in the defeat to PSG, and Gourvennec will welcome influential midfielder Benjamin Andre back from suspension this week.

The Dogues skipper will likely displace Xeka in the engine room on Tuesday night, while Yusuf Yazici will hope to come into contention for a start over Jonathan Bamba or Jonathan Ikone.

Sevilla possible starting lineup:
Bono; Navas, Kounde, Carlos, Acuna; Rakitic, Fernando, Jordan; Lamela, En-Nesyri, Ocampos

Lille possible starting lineup:
Grbic; Celik, Fonte, Djalo, Reinildo; Ikone, Andre, Sanches, Bamba; David, Yilmaz

  • Lille have failed to win their last four games
  • The visitors have lost eight of their last 11 Champions League matches
  • Sevilla have won each of their last four at home
Struggling visitors no match for Sevilla
Lille surrendered their lead away to PSG at the weekend to lose 2-1, their fourth successive game without a win. The French side have also failed to win all three of their Champions League games so far and things are unlikely to get better in Seville.

Sevilla have only lost one of their last seven home games in the group stage of the Champions League (W4 D2). They also head into this one having won their last four at home, which has put them in the mix for the Spanish title.

Lille have lost eight of their last 11 Champions League games and they have mustered just one goal in their three matches in this group. This looks like the perfect chance for Sevilla to grab their first win in Europe this season, so I’m backing the hosts to take the points alongside a routine 2-0 victory.
