Barca submit first extension offer to Araujo, contract details revealed by reporters

Barcelona have submitted their first extension offer to Ronald Araujo and expect that, after some further negotiations, will be able to tie him down to a new contract, as per Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz (4 stars).

The Catalans have offered him a four-year deal worth around €3m per season. His current contract expires in 2023.

Araujo's intention is to continue at Barca despite having received significant offers from the Premier League. However, he wants a salary that would reflect his importance in the squad.

This term so far, Araujo has played 26 games for the Catalans, 20 of them from the start, and has scored three goals.
