Man United want to appoint ex-Liverpool coach Andy O'Boyle as deputy director of football

Manchester United are looking at appointing Andy O'Boyle as their deputy director of football, according to the Daily Mail.

The Irishman joined Liverpool in 2011, working as head of elite fitness before being promoted to first-team fitness coach in 2015.

O'Boyle left Anfield in 2017 to become the 'Head of Elite Performance' at the Premier League — the job he continues to hold to this day.

The Red Devils are looking to appoint someone to help director of football John Murtough ahead of what promises to be a crucial transfer window.
