Hosts relying on home form against the Champions in waiting

A big game at both ends of the table as second-bottom Derby County welcomes table-topping Fulham to Pride Park. Hosts Derby have been excellent on home soil in recent weeks, winning seven of their last 10 home league matches and losing just once. Six of those wins came by way of a clean sheet and whilst that is commendable, the ‘Rams’ have won just three matches this campaign against sides currently in the top half of the league table – fewer than any other team in the division.

Visiting Fulham are on course for an immediate return to the Premier League as they sit top of the Championship table 10 points ahead of second-placed Bournemouth. However, they’re coming off the back of a 3-1 loss to Coventry City at Craven Cottage which should serve as a reminder that they’re not home and dry just yet. They’ve won their last two away fixtures without conceding though so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Marco Silva’s men bounce back with a victory here.

Goals at both ends likely

This should be a competitive match with both sides looking to take a valuable three points in order to help them with their respective targets. Derby have a knack of finding the back of the net when playing at home but don’t perform too well against top-half sides. We think both teams can get on the scoresheet here.
