Man City owners reportedly looking to add another European club to City Football Group

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, City Football Group are interested in buying Italian side Palermo.

The biggest club in Sicily was a Serie A mainstay relatively recently before financial issues led them into bankruptcy in 2019.

They had to start their way back up from the fourth tier, Serie D. They are currently competing in Serie C and could be a promising investment opportunity.

City Football Group are known as the Man City owners, but they have nine clubs in their portfolio apart from their flagship project. They include Troyes in France and Girona in Spain. An Italian club could feasibly be next on their agenda.

The interest in Palermo is believed to be at an early stage, but it could develop over the next few weeks.
