Senegal Lose Talented Midfielder To France After Didier Deschamps Invite

Midfielder Boubacar Kamara has earned his maiden France national team invite after Didier Deschamps included him in his squad.

The Marseille star who is a target of Senegal has been invited for the games against Croatia and Austria.

Buubacar Kamara was born to Senegalese parents in France and was in talks with the African champions to switch nationality.

Olympique Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara has snubbed Senegal for France after he was invited by Didier Deschamps ahead of the international break.

The midfielder has been named in Didier Deschamps squad for the Nations League games against Croatia and Austria. 

In the squad released on Thursday, the midfielder born to Senegalese parents in France is likely to make his international debut in June. 

African champions Senegal had held talks with the midfielder in a bid to convince play for the Ternaga Lions. 

However, the French national team invite will be a huge blow for Senegal who were hoping to get him for the World Cup. 

The Senegal national team will play Rwanda and Benin in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June before engaging in two friendlies later that month. 

Kamara has represented France at all youth levels. 

France national team coach, Didier Deschamps has included Boubabar Camara in his squad for next month's Nations League. 

Real Madrid star Karim Benzema returns to the squad while Olivier Giroud misses out.
