As per multiple sources, Reece James missed Chelsea's training session today and yesterday and has not travelled with the squad to Southampton.
The right-back will miss out on today's game as a precaution. He is reportedly out through an 'illness' which is not serious at the moment.
Journalist Simon Phillips adds that Billy Gilmour has travelled with the Chelsea squad and could feature today.
Gilmour is close to leaving Chelsea but given the Blues' midfield injuries and one suspension, he could be handed a substitute appearance.
