With Roberto Firmino’s contract set to expire in the summer, Jurgen Klopp was asked about his Liverpool future and simply said: “I said that before – yes, I want to keep him at the club.”
The Reds are reportedly in talks with the Brazilian forward over a new deal and want to keep him at the club beyond this summer.
Firmino could get a lot of offers as a free agent knowing his quality, which is why negotiations aren’t going as smoothly as expected.
The Brazilian is currently out of action with an injury, with Klopp hopeful he can get back to action quickly to give Liverpool more options up front.
