Real Madrid monitoring Mikel Arteta as Ancelotti replacement

According to Remontada Blanca, Real Madrid are monitoring Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as a possible replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid bigwigs are said to be dissatisfied with Ancelotti over his lack of plan B when Real Madrid are suffering during matches. Los Blancos have fallen nine points behind Barcelona in the title race after drawing their last two games.

However, Los Blancos may stick with the Italian manager until the end of his contract in 2024 before approaching Arteta.

This season, Arteta's Arsenal have been on fire in the Premier League and are on course to win the title having pulled five points clear in the title race.

The fact remains, Real Madrid have multiple options to choose from in the market if they eventually decide to part ways with Don Carlo.
