Diario Sport journalist David Bernabeu reveals one curious detail from one of his interviews with Joan Laporta.
"One day, I asked him in private... 'President, tell me the truth. If you could, would you sign Mbappe or Haaland?'
"'You know I would sign Joao Felix instead,' he replied."
Laporta has been a fan of Joao Felix since 2019 when the Portuguese played for Benfica. The president sees a difference maker in the 23-year-old, even comparing him to one of Barca's biggest legends Johan Cruyff.
No wonder Joao Felix has been assigned no. 14 at Blaugrana – the one the Dutchman used to wear throughout his career.
