Andy Carroll had note calling him "rich f****** c***" left on Mercedes by restaurant owner

Former Liverpool and West Ham striker Andy Carroll had an explicit note left on his car by an angry restaurant owner.

Calvin Kitchin, who owns Cal's Own pizza in Newcastle upon Tyne, was furious after Carroll parked his Mercedes outside the Jesmond establishment.

It's claimed that the former England international took up two parking spaces and Kitchin did not like his mentality of "doing what you want, when you want".

And so he decided to send a message calling Carroll a rich f****** c***, adding that he could have just asked him or his staff.

The note read: "Listen you rich f****** c***, you have a nice car I'll give you that. Otherwise, I pay £42,000-a-year for my lease.

"If you were to come into my restaurant and ask if you could use my parking to park nicely, me or my staff would probably say yes. Hence why you can't just be nice and take what you want."

Carroll posted the note on his Instagram page, with the caption: "Didn't like your pizza anyway".

Kitchin claims that he had never seen Carroll in his restaurant, which specialises in pizza and New York-style sandwiches.

He further vented his frustrations in an interview with Chronicle Live, saying: "What would be civilised is to come [inside] and ask if he could park his massive car, especially when there is plenty of on-street parking.

"He took up two spaces - what if a disabled customer came? There is a parking meter down the road which barely costs anything anyway."

In recent years Carroll has had two loan spells at Reading, either side of a stint with West Brom in the Championship.

On deadline day, the 34-year old signed for French second tier side Amiens and has scored twice in nine appearances in Ligue 2 - including an incredible 40-yard goal.
