OFFICIAL: Man Utd defender Marcos Rojo joins Estudiantes on loan

Argentinian top-flight side Estudiantes have announced the return of former youth graduate Marcos Rojo on a short-term loan deal from Manchester United.

Rojo has not featured for United since November, and has now sealed a move away to get some game-time before the end of the season.

Announcing the move with an emotional video featuring clips of him playing for the club, Estudiantes wrote: 'You always return to the places where you were happy. Because of the sense of belonging, it's stronger.

'Your dream and that of the Pincha family come true. We meet again. Welcome and thanks for coming back, Marcos. We welcome you with the heart.'

Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron is the current chairman of Estudiantes, and the move will give Rojo the chance to claim his place in the Argentina squad for the upcoming Copa America.

Rojo is liked by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his combative style but a series of injuries forced him down the pecking order at United.
