Chelsea academy goalkeeper Nicolas Tie

Chelsea academy goalkeeper Nicolas Tie have been included in their Champions League squad, 'B' list...

Tie was born in Lille, France to Ivorian parents , the 18-year-old started his footballing education at Poitiers FC in the lower divisions before joining the Blues youth set-up in 2017...

Tie featured for Chelsea's side in the U-18 Premier League during his first two seasons in West London but he has made the transition to the U23s in the Premier League 2 Division 1 this term...

The highly-rated starlet has also featured in the UEFA Youth League this season while also acting as the third-choice goalkeeper in the first team whenever Kepa Arrizabalaga has been excluded from the squad...

The 18-year-old is unlikely to take the field for Chelsea in the knockout rounds of the Champions League and will presumably play second-fiddle to Kepa, Willy Caballero and Jamie Cummings.
