Super Eagles defender reacts after legendary coach departs Russian club

Super Eagles wing-back Bryan Idowu has reacted after legendary coach Yuri Semin departs from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow who has followed the footstep of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger during their time at Manchester United and Arsenal respectively.

The Railwaymen announced via a press release on Thursday that 73-year-old contract won’t be renewed and named Marko Nikolic as the new head coach with effect from June 1, 2020.

Semin had four different spells as coach of Lokomotiv Moscow and guided the capital outfit to win three Russian Premier League titles, six Russian Cups and three Russian Super Cups.

The Nigeria international Idowu has taken to his social media handle to likened Semin, who spent twenty-three years at Lokomotiv, to two famous former Premier League coaches in Ferguson and Wenger who had long careers at Manchester United and Arsenal respectively.

The Russian-born Nigerian sends a goodbye message by thanking the legendary manager for everything.

Idowu 10 July 2018, he signed a three-year contract with Lokomotiv Moscow and the defender has made 34 appearances in all competitions under Yuri Semin, including seven in the UEFA Champions League.
