Ighalo reacts after facing Super Eagles defender in Man United friendlies match

Odion Ighalo has reacted after facing Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi in Manchester United friendlies match at Old Trafford as they stepped up preparations for their first fixture of the Premier League’s resumption against Tottenham in seven days’ time.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men took on the West Brom in two different 90-minute games with two Nigerians featuring for their respective teams in the second of two friendlies

In the first game, the Baggies beat a strong Manchester United lineup 2-1, a side which contained Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford but Ighalo did not see action.

The former Nigeria international did taste action for the Red Devils in the second game, facing off against Super Eagles defender Ajayi and helping the team to a face-saving 3-1 win.

Andreas Pereira hit a brace for Ighalo’s side in the victory while Tahith Chong came off the bench to score the third.

The 2019 African Cup of Nations Golden Boot winner took his social media to reacts after facing his fellow countryman Ajayi at Old Trafford.

Last weekend, Ighalo netted a brace in an in-house 11-a-side training game for Manchester United and he also impressed yesterday to help his side to the win.

Solskjaer’s team were in strong form before English football’s shutdown, going 11 League matches unbeaten, progressing through to the FA Cup quarter-finals and also taking a commanding 5-0 first-leg lead against Austrian side LASK Linz in their Europa League last-16 tie.
