Madrid prosecutors accuses Carlo Ancelotti of tax fraud

A tax fraud allegations have been leveled against Everton manager, by Madrid prosecutors. Carlo Ancelotti.

According to reports, the prosecutors are accusing the former Real Madrid manager of not paying 1m euros (£904,000) in taxes.

Ancelotti had led Everton to a draw against awaiting champions, Liverpool on Sunday, on their Premier League return.

The prosecutors said that the charge relates to tax due for image rights earnings during the Italian’s time as Real Madrid boss in 2014-15. According to the Madrid Community Prosecutor’s office,  the 61-year-old concealed revenues, intending to avoid his tax duties towards the public treasury with no justification”.

Ancelotti is yet to comment or react to the report. Neither do his present employers, have no comment to make.

The Toffees boss, who was sacked at Napoli, took charge of the Merseyside club in 2019. He had spent a year at Serie A side Napoli, making sure they qualified from their Champions League group.

A court in Spain is expected to give an outcome on the case at a later date.
