Raul Jimenez has proven to be a class actor for Wolverhampton Wanderers since he arrived from Benfica. The Mexican has now continued from where his fellow countryman, Javier Hernandez AKA Chicharito stop in goal scoring record in the Premier League.

Jimenez has now recorded his 14th goal of the season in the Premiership after helping his team to defeat West Ham 2-0 as action resumes after 100 days of coronavirus hiatus. The poacher who is now just a goal behind Liverpool’s Mo Salah has broker Chicharito’s record of goals in a single season in the league.

The highest the former Manchester United striker has scored was 13 with Manchester United in the 2010-2011 campaign. He now occupies the sixth spot on the Premier League’s tops scorers.

With eight matches left to complete the season, Jimenez still has the chance to increase his tally and set further records. He is expected to start in Wolverhampton’s next game scheduled for Wednesday against AFC Bournemouth that is currently facing relegation.
