Arsenal Prodigy Saka To Make Decision Between Nigeria and England

Gernot Rohr chief scout, Tunde Adelakun said it is up to Saka Bukayo to decide which national team he wants to play for as speculation over his future rumbles on.

Saka is eligible to play for both England and Nigeria.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Gunners this campaign and he is eligible to play for both England and Nigeria.

But Adelakun maintained that the dark-skinned is old enough to decide the country, stressing that he would not comment on the player’s future.

“The choice is the player’s,” begins Adelakun.
“I really cannot comment on this matter at this time, I’m sorry.

Arsenal’s star recently signed a new “long-term” contract with the Premier League club. The 18-year-old has broken into the Gunners’ first-team this season, making 33 appearances.

The versatile England Under-19 international’s previous deal was due to expire next summer, leading to reports he could leave.

Saka, a product of the club’s academy, has scored three goals and provided 10 assists in this campaign and has become increasingly prominent for the Gunners, starting all four matches since the season resumed after the coronavirus shutdown.

Adelakun, a former Chelsea scout under Jose Mourinho has been lauded for scouting long lists of the current crop of Super Eagles players under coach Gernot Rohr.
