Mikel Arteta List the key positives in City win

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he's proud that his team have earned back-to-back wins over Liverpool and City and he feels that at the moment whoever he picks to the squad will not let him down and give his all to the team.

He adds that he's made several changes to the starting line-up today after the Liverpool win and the team still performed at the same level

"I am really thankful to the players for the effort they are putting in, the performances they are putting in, the chemistry that they are generating," Mikel Arteta said in the post-match interview as quoted by Arsenal's website.

"They are trying to play every week, every day. It doesn't matter, we have players with injections, players that were sick, but they're willing to play. At the moment I have a feeling that I can pick anybody that is ready to play and perform at that level.

"We made five or six changes the other day, we made the same again today and look at the level of all of the players. I'm so happy today. To beat [City] in a semi-final and to beat the best two teams in Europe probably in three or four days is something I am very proud of.

"I am sorry for the fans because we could've enjoyed a beautiful moment today with them. They are not here but I just want to tell them that we are thinking about them."

Even though City was totally dominant on the pitch Arsenal deservedly won the game. Pep Guardiola's side managed to register just 1 shot on target throughout the 90 minutes, while Arsenal had 4.

There was a feeling throughout the game that the Gunners were ready to die for the manager to complete his game plan and achieve the result. That sense of unity is something we've not witnessed for a very long time.
