Statistically, Real Madrid mostly benefitted from referees decisions in 2019/2020 laliga season.

This season 44 decisions went in Madrid's favour while Barca mostly suffered from the refereeing.

Real Madrid benefitted the most from the referees' decisions during the 2019-2020 La Liga season, according to top statistical source Mister Chip on Twitter.

For example, Los Blancos won 11 penalties but conceded just two.

Madrid's players received 83 yellow cards while their opponents were booked on 88 occasions.

In total, 44 decisions went in favour of Zinedine Zidane's men.

As for Barcelona, the match officials' decisions mostly went against them as the Catalans suffered 14 times from the refereeing.

Barca conceded seven penalties, winning just six.

The Blaugrana players were yellow carded 95 times while their rivals received 90 bookings.

This new analysis somehow confirms Barca's multiple claims on the biased refereeing in the Spanish top tier this season.

Just two weeks ago, Josep Maria Bartomeu boldly stated that VAR always favoured the same team.
