Barcelona could ask Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto to re-negotiate their current deals in order to lower their wages, according to CatRadio (via Mundo Deportivo).
The key reason for this decision is Barca's financial struggles in the post-pandemic time.
As a reminder, Barcelona players already took a 70 per cent pay cut in March when the pandemic was reaching its peak levels.
Pique, Busquets and Roberto were among Barca's top 10 earners in the 2019/20 season, as per Capology.
