4 possible future leaders of new Barcelona dressing room revealed

Barcelona is looking to rejuvenate their squad meaning that new leaders will be needed at Camp Nou.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen
The German is already an important player in the dressing room but his authority will certainly go up when the likes of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets leave the club.

The goalkeeper has all the chances to become one of the captains in the near future considering that he has already been at the club for six years.

Frenkie de Jong
The Dutchman is a very self-critical and demanding player, and footballers with such qualities usually make great leaders of men. Despite it being his first season at the Camp Nou, the 23-year-old went to talk to the press following the loss against Bayern Munich and demanded changes from the club.

Riqui Puig
The 21-year-old has one distinct quality that reminds us of Xavi — he's stubborn. As a La Masia graduate, the midfielder knows what type of football the Catalans are supposed to play and he's trying to do exactly that even if he's facing monsters like Atletico Madrid.

During his 12 matches for the senior side this season, Riqui showed that he never gives up. And if he gets levelled when he tries to make a through ball, he'll get up and try another time no matter what. If he demands the same from his teammates, Puig will make a great captain.

Monchu
First of all, Blaugrana need to keep him at the club, of course. The 20-year-old captained Barca B throughout the 2019/20 season and helped them reach the promotion play-offs final, scoring 10 goals along the way.

After the embarrassing Champions League elimination, the midfielder was the only player to leave Camp Nou through the main exit, knowing that there will be fans ready to whistle him. Instead, he deservingly got a round of applause.
