Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic addresses the fans after going down with coronavirus

Pjanic is the third Barca player to test positive for COVID-19 and the Bosnian will miss the start of the pre-season.

"I want to reassure everyone who cares about me, I'm fine and, luckily, I'm asymptomatic. These days teach us that we can't take anything for granted. We are calm and are respecting the rules. See you soon," Miralem Pjanic has tweeted.

Barcelona have confirmed that the 30-year-old will have to spend 15 days under quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus. This means that the midfielder will miss the start of the pre-season, which is due to start on August 31.

Besides Pjanic, Samuel Umtiti and Jean-Clair Todibo have also tested positive. Carles Alena, who had contacted Todibo, is also under quarantine.
