Celta Vigo remain interested Rafinha but wont pay his €17m release clause

Despite the constant exit links, no club has shown interest in meeting Rafinha's €17m release clause, Diario AS report.

Celta Vigo remain interested in the 27-year-old but the Galicians believe they can buy him for less.

Their plan is to wait for later into the transfer window as they hope Barcelona will lower the asking price if no other clubs come after the Brazilian.

A year back, the Celts did basically the same, waiting until the last day of the transfer window to complete the midfielder's loan.

The Catalans need to sell 'Rafa' as the player's contract at Camp Nou expires already next summer.

This term, Rafinha registered four goals and two assists in 33 matches for Barca and Celta.
