Deco urges Barcelona to think twice before offloading experienced players

Barca must be careful before selling the players 'who have won everything for the club', Deco says.

The Portuguese recalls himself being involved in a similar situation at Barca.
It's important not to show a lack of respect towards such players, he explains.

"I know it's hard because I've gone through it myself at Barca," Deco replied when asked about the future of players like Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba.

"But that's a sign of how important those players are. When you single out your main players it's normal because they are so important and have won everything. That's football. But singling out players is one thing, showing a lack of respect is another."

"You have to be careful because you're maybe talking about the best generation in history, players who have won everything for this club," the Portuguese explained.

Currently, there are 7 players over 30 at Barca and all of them, except for Lionel Messi, have reportedly been transfer-listed. Almost of these players were crucial for Barca at the time when the Catalans were winning the three latest Champions League trophies.
