'I don't think it's time to return to Barca': Barcelona legend Xavi

Xavi appears to be unhappy with the off-field issues currently prevailing at the Catalan club.

He wishes his former side and Quique Setien all the best.

"I don't think it's time to return to Barca," Xavi confessed in an interview with El Pais.

The legendary midfielder explained why it is so: "There are some off-field issues, some external noise."

Xavi added: "I rejected Barca's offer in January and they haven't contacted me since then. I wish them all the best. I respect Quique Setien a lot, his style is what Barca need."

Indeed, the current Al-Sadd boss was linked with Barcelona's job earlier this year but he declined the offer as he considered it too early for his managerial career.

Moreover, the iconic midfielder explicitly claimed some months ago he doesn't want to take over at Barca as soon as Bartomeu remains their president.
