Lautaro remains Barca's priority signing and set begin talk with Inter

The Catalans would prefer the player-plus-cash deal with Firpo and Vidal named as the potential makeweights.

Lautaro Martinez remains Barcelona's priority signing this summer and the Catalans are ready to resume talks with Inter, Marca claim.

The negotiations were put on hold in June when football returned to action but with both sides finally completing the 2019-2020 season they may return to the discussion.

In July, Lautaro's €111m release clause expired which means the two clubs now need to agree on the striker's price.

The player plus cash deal could still be on the cards with Nelson Semedo, Junior Firpo and Arturo Vidal named as the potential makeweights.

Only if the Catalans fail to land the Inter striker they may turn their sights to Lyon's marksman Memphis Depay who appeared on Barca's radar a couple of days ago.

Unlike Lautaro, the 26-year-old would cost just €50m; moreover, he has a strong connection with Barca's new coach Ronald Koeman.
