Manchester United boss Solskjaer wants Jesse Lingard to stay at Old Trafford

Lingard has another year left on his Man United contract.

Ole wants the Englishman to stay but can't promise him a first-team place.

Jesse Lingard's Manchester United contract expires next summer although the Red Devils can extend it by a further season.

According to Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to keep the Englishman at Old Trafford beyond this transfer window.

However, the final decision is yet to be made because the Norwegian can't promise the 27-year-old a regular place in the first team ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Lingard has recently teamed up with super-agent Mino Raiola as he continues to develop his brand.

It's been suggested that the Italian is looking to arrange his new client's exit from Old Trafford. Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook
