Ronaldo doubts Messi could leave Barcelona: Leo is the reference of Barca

The Brazilian doesn't believe Leo no longer loves the Catalan club and he also adds that letting their star leave won't solve Barca's problems.

"It is very unlikely that Messi will leave Barcelona, especially with the financial crisis in Europe," Ronaldo Nazario opened up on Leo's potential exit, as quoted by Goal.

He added: "Messi is the reference of the team and if I was Barcelona I would not let him leave in any case.

"Messi has a very intense relationship with Barcelona, I do not think he will stop being in love with the team. He's upset, of course."

On Barca's possible plans to keep their star man, the iconic Brazilian added: "Messi needs his team-mates to help him, as they do, and Barcelona will have to think of something different for the next seasons.

"Letting your main player leave is not the solution."

Messi appears to be 'fed up' with Barcelona and reportedly told Ronald Koeman he could possibly leave already this summer even though his contract is still valid for another year.

Yet, Mundo Deportivo now claim that Barca have declared Messi non-transferable and won't listen to any offers unless his €700m release clause is met.
