Source: Barcelona manager Koeman tells Suarez he can leave on Monday morning

Barca's new coach called the Uruguayan on Monday morning to break the news to him.

Ronald Koeman called Luis Suarez on Monday morning to inform the striker that he doesn't count on him for the next season, highly reliable RAC1 have just revealed.

Barcelona are now planning to terminate the Uruguayan's contract which is still valid for another year.

There is no information on Suarez's potential destination, though.

Suarez has been linked with Ajax for a week already after trustworthy Fabrizio Romano and Mike Verweij both confirmed this possibility.

The striker appeared to be angry with the exit rumours as he publicly asked the Barcelona board to tell him face-to-face if the club no longer want him.

The 33-year-old bagged 21 goals and recorded 11 assists last term.
