Ter Stegen had never conceded more than five goals in a single match.
"Really tough times. Culers, I feel really sorry for what happened yesterday. I’m disappointed. I don’t want to search for excuses - because there are none. We definitely need to change," Marc-Andre ter Stegen has tweeted.

Barcelona's 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich was the 27-year-old's worst game of career as he had never conceded more than five goals in a game before.
Ter Stegen registered five saves and two punches against the Bavarians, with four of those saves coming after shots from inside the box.
The German had a surprisingly bad game in terms of passing, completing only five of the attempted 13 long balls.
