Valencia have approached Barcelona for youngster Monchu.
Sport says Barcelona rate Monchu highly and Ronald Koeman would like to take a look at him during preseason before making a decision on his future.
The midfielder won't form part of Barça B's squad next year because he's already proven himself ready to perform at a higher level.
The decision Koeman must make is whether to include Monchu as part of his first-team squad or loan him out to a fellow top division side.
At the moment, the team who have shown the most interest are Valencia. Javi Gracia wants Monchu to improve his midfield options following the departures of Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin to Villarreal.
