One of the leading presidential candidates claims his sporting director is going to be a former player with vast experience.
Both Carles Puyol and Jordi Cruyff could possibly fit the criteria.
"It will be a former player with vast experience," Victor Font told Diario Sport when asked on his candidate to become Barcelona's sporting director if he wins the presidential elections officially scheduled for next March.
Font could be possibly referring to either Carles Puyol and Jordi Cruyff. Both of them used to play for Barca. Puyol could be more in touch with the club's current stars while Cruyff has a bigger experience as a sporting director.
Eric Abidal's aide Ramon Planes has officially replaced the Frenchman in this role, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
Barca's legendary defender left on Tuesday even though he was originally supposed to continue, Abidal confirmed in an open letter to the fans.
