'A lot can change': Zidane speaks on a possible loan move for Luka Jovic

Jovic is expected to stay and compete for the No.9 spot with Benzema.

However, Zidane has left the door open for a loan deal.

When asked about Luka Jovic's future, Zinedine Zidane said in a press conference: "I don't think Jovic's going to go on loan. But, until October 4, a lot can change."

The ongoing summer window will end on October 4 - meaning there's still time before the Serbian could leave on loan.

Despite rumours of an exit, Jovic is expected to continue with Real Madrid and compete with Karim Benzema for the No.9 role.

However, now, it seems like there's no clarity over Jovic's future. He scored only 2 goals in 17 league appearances last season and hasn't been in his best form.

Nevertheless, he's been included in our squad to face Real Sociedad for our La Liga opener - a game we must win to begin our title defence in style.
