AFA chief blames Barcelona for lack of respect towards Leo Messi

Leo Messi wanted to leave Barcelona in the summer.

The Argentine Football Association president Claudio Tapia says the board have been unfair to Leo.

He has always been better than all of his teammates, Tapia explains.

"Messi was always superior to his teammates individually.

That's why I think that after everything he has given to Barca, the board have been unfair to him and he doesn't deserve this treatment," the Argentine Football Association president Claudio Tapia has told TyC Sports.

As a reminder, Leo Messi wanted to leave Camp Nou this summer and hoped Barcelona would agree to a friendly exit. However, Bartomeu was against the player leaving.

Messi's contract with Barca runs out in June 2021, meaning that he can agree terms with a new team already in January and leave the team for free next summer.
