Arturo Vidal has been given a 'letter of freedom' by Barcelona, according to Toni Juanmarti of Diario Sport.
The official announcement of the termination of Vidal's deal could be made later on Thursday.
Juanmarti adds that the 33-year-old didn't ask the Catalans to pay him the remaining €6m in wages on his contract.
Some reports have suggested that the Chilean's move to Inter Milan is 'only a matter of time'.
