Barcelona has lunch an official bid for Ajax full-back Sergino Dest

Barcelona have made official contact with Ajax over the signing of Sergino Dest as they are trying to hijack the right-back's move to Bayern Munich, according to Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf.

The Catalans, however, are yet to make their opening bid to the Dutch giants.

Barca will have an opportunity to make an official offer for the 19-year-old after Nelson Semedo's move to Wolves that is expected to be completed later this week.

Bayern are still favourites to sign Dest after reportedly making a second bid for the right-back on Monday.

The Bavarians are 'approaching' Ajax's asking price of €20m plus €5m in bonuses and it remains to be seen if Barca manage to win the competition for Sergino.

For now, Munich, not Barcelona, looks like Dest's likeliest destination, Verweij adds.
