Barcelona new kid Pedri set to be registered with the first team, shirt number revealed

Barcelona's new boy Pedri will be a part of the first-team squad in the 2020/21 season despite rumours linking him with a loan exit, according to Toni Juanmarti of Diario SPORT.

The 17-year-old will wear the No. 16 shirt in his debut campaign at Camp Nou, Juanmarti adds.
The decision is set to be made official later on Friday.

Some reports have recently suggested that Ronald Koeman wants Pedri to spend the season on loan elsewhere.

Barca's decision to register the youngster with the first team could be dictated by the clause in his contract which allows his former club Las Palmas to take him back on a season-long loan if the Catalans keep him with the B side.
