Barcelona players with possible Jersey number for 2020/2021 season

Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati and the newcomers could don some legendary kits next season.

Some iconic shirt numbers are now vacant at Barcelona following Ivan Rakitic's and Arthur Melo's exits. As things stand, even the No.9 kit could be up for grabs as Luis Suarez appears to be on his way out.

Tribuna.com now speculate who could possibly don the legendary jerseys next season.

No.4

The iconic No.4 shirt could be given to Miralem Pjanic as he is unlikely to reclaim the No.5 kit he used to don at Juventus.
Ivan Rakitic was the latest player to wear this jersey which used to belong to Pep Guardiola and Cesc Fabregas.
No.6

Ronald Araujo could take the No.6 kit which may hint that the centre-back is going to play more prominently.
Riqui Puig could be another option as this iconic jersey belonged to Xavi for 13 years.
After Dani Alves' exit, Denis Suarez and Jean-Clair Todibo used this number.
No.7

Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann are expected to battle for the No.7 jersey.
The Brazilian wore this kit in the 2018-2019 season but the Frenchman made it clear he wanted to reclaim it.
No.8

Riqui Puig appears to be the best candidate to take No.8 shirt.
This number could be also given to Philippe Coutinho who is finally going to return to his preferred position in the middle.
Arthur claimed this jersey after legendary Andres Iniesta who donned it for 10 years.
No.9

Either of Antoine Griezmann, Ansu Fati or even Martin Braithwaite could inherit Luis Suarez's shirt number.
Otherwise, the No.9 kit could be given to a new attacking reinforcement, possibly Memphis Depay.
No.14

Either Ansu Fati or Riqui Puig could take the No.14 shirt after their much-anticipated promotion.
This number hasn't been in use since Malcom's departure while Johan Cruyff stands out as the most iconic Blaugrana star wearing this kit. Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook

  1. Coutinho should be given the number 8 jersey, while Pjanic and Griezmann should wore 4 and 7 respectively.
