"Koeman will explain the reasons [behind his desire to loan Riqui Puig out]," Josep Maria Bartomeu told TV3 on Saturday night.
"The news that came was exaggerated. It's not as if Koeman considers him unreliable. He will explain himself," the president assured.
On Saturday, Ronald Koeman confirmed that he'd prefer a loan move for Riqui Puig, explaining that the latter is not guaranteed to have much game time in the new season.
Koeman didn't include Puig in the match squad for Barcelona's Elche game. That's despite the 21-year-old putting in great performances in the previous friendlies against Gimnastic and Girona.
