Barcelona President urge the fans to forget Roma, Liverpool and Bayern defeat and talk about the future

Bartomeu says that 'an exciting season' is ahead of us.

The president trusts the new coach to improve our results.

In his interview with TV3, Josep Maria Bartomeu was asked to comment on the club's recent awful results in the Champions League. His answer was everything but satisfactory.

"Let's forget the past. A new season is coming with excited players, let's focus on that," the president said. "An exciting season awaits."

Bartomeu's tenure at Barcelona has coincided with the club's worst results on the international stage.

The Catalans got eliminated by Roma and Liverpool despite having a 4-1 and 3-0 advantage respectively and then were beaten by Bayern Munich 8-2.

Then, Bartomeu reiterated his confidence in Ronald Koeman: "We played two friendly matches in which we noticed that the game style has become somewhat different and this is what we want from Koeman.

"We trust the decisions of Koeman. He has a high level of authority to do what he deems fit for the team."
